Drew McManigle


Drew McManigle, a Senior Managing Director at SierraConstellation Partners and leader of the Southwest Region from the Houston, Texas office, has led numerous companies through both in- and out-of-court restructurings. Drew has global experience across a variety of industries and leads Sierra Constellation’s oil & gas practice. His experience encompasses, energy exploration, production and refining, healthcare, consumer products, defense, food and pharmaceutical manufacturing, commercial construction, distribution, transportation, heavy equipment and hospitality. Across the nation, he has held leadership and fiduciary roles, including operating chapter 11 trustee, plan administrator, interim CEO, CRO, receiver and assignee. Drew has represented either company, debtor or creditor interests in bankruptcy and state courts in Texas, Nevada, Delaware, New York and Maryland. Drew’s results-driven leadership style has led to successful outcomes in a variety of complex and distressed situations, including complex domestic and foreign litigation.

Prior to SierraConstellation Partners, Drew was a principal of his own firm for 23 years. He began his career in Texas where he attended Texas Tech University and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston. He has been quoted in USA Today, The Deal, Debtwire, Bloomberg and Capital Structure. He has been widely published and is a reputable panelist/public speaker on restructuring and related business topics.

Notable Assignments

  • Served as financial advisor in two engagements to separate bank syndicates with over $200 million in combined reserve based lending loans (RBL). Provided analysis, energy insight, advice and recommendations to resolve complex loan forbearance, cash-control and settlement issues.
  • Appointed Liquidating Trustee, of the Montco Offshore Oilfield Contractors Liquidating Trust to lead intricate contract litigation, related claim and preference recovery actions.
  • Acted as financial advisor to an independent oil & gas producer with $100 million in RBL loans. Managed cash, gained lender support for asset sales and managed significant vendor issues. Avoided litigation while implementing a practical wind-down plan.
  • Previously engaged as an interim CEO of a MD food producer; an OH home healthcare provider; a FL roofing and construction company; Interim GM/CEO of a N. Carolina resort & spa; CRO of a national cosmetics brand company; and service as an independent director to a public U.K. company.
